LA Times reports "out of gas" calls are up 13% due to jump in gas prices. California's average gas price is $4.191 a gallon, second only to Hawaii at $4.464. 

 How can you stretch your gas dollars? Fill up early in the morning when it is cooler. When possible fill your tank when it gets to half empty.  As you drive your neighborhood look for gas stations with the best prices. Ask your mechanic if regular gas is ok for your car. Carpool whenever you can!!
